Feel the Hirn!

Lauren & Erik’s first date was a hole-in-one! Erik treated Lauren to Hawk Hollow Putt Putt in East Lansing on Labor Day 2016. He may have won that round, but Lauren wasn’t too far behind! They ended the evening at a little pub for dinner, drinks, laughs, and, what they didn’t know at the time, a fist date so memorable to last a lifetime.

After their first date, Erik was the first to say “I love you”, even though - as Lauren puts it - “it took 9 long months”. She knew that she wanted to marry Erik when they went to a local brewery and he asked if Lauren wanted to play board games - little did Erik know at the time that Lauren absolutely LOVES games! Erik knew he wanted to marry Lauren after their first vacation together - they visited Miami and had the time of their lives!

The next time you’re in downtown Ypsilanti - head on in to Ann Arbor Brewing Co.! This is Lauren and Erik’s favorite place to go for drinks and a snack. The next time you’re in the brewery, look around - they just might be in there cheers-ing some beers. But their favorite spot is on their deck where they play lots of backgammon and playing with their fur-baby, Maggie.

When asked, Lauren and Erik’s advice to anyone planning a wedding is, “Don't sweat the small stuff! Nobody (but yourself) will remember the tiny candles you displayed on your cake table or the lanterns you had to have setup in front of the alter. What people will remember is good food, the dancing, the LOVE, and the drinks, of course!”

Lauren and Erik also gave up some relationship advice: “My best relationship advice would be to always make each other laugh. Laughing is very important and to find someone that can make you laugh in the good times and the bad times is a win! Erik is the funniest person I know and can always make me laugh when I am feeling down.”

Lauren & Erik’s biggest dream/aspiration is to become parents and to live on either a lake or a golf course. Cheers to Lauren & Erik! We here at Hazel Eyes & Co. are wishing all of your dreams to come true!
